Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg she grew up in Wellington and made her stage debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the role in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 years old for Best support Actress. Paquin was the child character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in the year 1996. She also played a leading part on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film released that same year. Paquin had a small role in the television movie of 1997 remake of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in the film, she portrayed the Spanish queen in a minor part. The actress played teens for the roles of Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
